10 Years

I made this LO for a sketch contest. Its of my good friend Christiane and myself seeing eachother after 10 long years. The Picture in the frame is the last picture we took together in High School. TFL

When I saw this paper line I fell right in love with it! I LOOOVE pink and I also had the perfect pix of myself for the LO. Im not big on scrappin myself but couldnt pass this up . =) TFL

Cube box for myy friend Martica

I made this cube box for my special friend Martica. She loves her grandson Anthony who she isn’t able to see often. I emailed Anthony’s mother and asked if she can have him draw a few pictures and also send some photos Martica hasn’t seen before.

The top of the box has a note that a wrote for her “ I love you grandma”
Side “1”..is a sweet picture of him. He looks like a angel. I used the Tim Holts grunge pieces to make it look like wings. TFL
Side “2” is a sweet photo of him waving to his grandma Martica TFL
Side “3” is Anthony wearing a cool hat and also a picture he drew of himself. TFL
Side “4” has a rainbow in the corner that he also drew, TFL

Memories

This LO is of my sister and myself while we were in Japan with my mother...some of my favorite memories. TFL

All you need is Love...

This is a layout I made of my fathers parents. They were split up by the time I was born but from the looks of this picture I could see the love they once shared. To bad it didn’t last. TFL

The Sound of Laughter

I just LOVE this photo of my mother. You can just hear the laughter from this picture!
My mother was only 16 years old when this picture was taken. A few of her co-workers from a restaurant she worked at gave her some Gag gifts for her birthday. I used the Curio paper line from Basic Grey. I think the colors worked out perfect! I also did a lot of hand cutting to make the flowers look like a frame over the picture. TFL =)

Tag for my friend Samara

One of my close friends is pregnant with her first child. She sent me this photo to show me her belly so I thought it would be nice to make her a tag. The back of the tag is a poem about being a first time mother. the roses are handmade. TFL

Once upon a Time...

I have always loved this picture of my niece Niyae. She is the only niece out of 6 that I am able to see everyday. And she has grown so much. She was about 2 yrs old in this picture. I also think I may have went a little crazy with the emblies =)

Monkey Around

I joined another challenge over at mycreativescrapbook.com and this time it was a awesome sketch we had to play with. I wanted to change it up and make it more into a boy page. Here is my take. A few years ago my grandmother was passing away, my boys and I missed our plane and the airport set us up in a nice hotel for the night. I knew the next few weeks would be hard, dealing with the passing of my grandmother so I wanted the boys to have some fun before we arrived at FL. So we had a bed jumping contest. Who could jump the highest. It was a lot of fun. The journal spot reads “ 2 little monkeys jumping on the bed, one fell off and bumped his head. Momma called the doc. And doc said. No more monkeys jumping on the bed” TFL

When my father passed away 12 yrs ago, I found a bunch of picture slides. I found this picture and always loved it. My father took this photo of my mother and myself playing in a park across the street from our apartment in Japan. The picture in the Melissa Frances frame is my mother watching me walk in the sand. I joined a few challenges. one at Bo Bunny and the either at Mycreativescrap.com and we had to make a LO of ourself. When people look at our scrapbooks they see LO's of everyone else and everything we love...but not us. So i asked my friends on Facebook to tell me one word that describes me and I put them on my LO but the number one thing to describe me is BLESSED. TFL

I made this tag for one of my close friends. Her mother passed away a few months ago and it was really hard on all of us because she was such a great mother. My friend, Lakisha told me this was her favorite pix of herself and her mother. TFL
